Addis Ababa (Science) was founded in 1974, the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Association is a national association of Ethiopian Pharmacists, which works to uphold the honor and ethics of the profession, protect the professional rights of members, and work with stakeholders to ensure that the public has access to good health care.
Ethiopia’s domestic pharmaceutical or healthcare industry includes 22 medical drug suppliers and manufacturers, of whom 9 are directly involved in pharmaceutical product manufacturing. Most manufacturing companies operate with less power and only about 20% of local markets are available.

In this context, the 44th Annual Conference of Ethiopian Pharmacists was held from 26 to 27 July 2016 at Ilili Hotel under the slogan “The Role of Pharmacists in Promoting Primary Health Care”. The general conference focused on building the capacity of pharmacists.
