Privacy notice

How EPA eLearning collects, uses, shares and keeps your personal data, and your rights.

Who we are

EPA eLearning is the online continuing professional development (CPD) platform of the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Association (EPA). EPA is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: epan@epa.org.et.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number, city/region, profession and, if you are an EPA member, your membership number and status (read from the EPA Membership system).
  • Learning records: courses you enrol in, your progress, answers and scores, course evaluations, certificates, CEUs and CPD transcripts.
  • Technical data: log-ins and pages visited, needed to run and secure the platform.
  • Optional: your licence date and CPD activities from other providers that you add yourself; your Telegram account if you connect it for notifications.

Why we use it

  • To provide the courses, issue certificates and CPD transcripts, and record your CEUs (to deliver the service you signed up for).
  • To verify certificates for employers and licensing authorities when they enter a certificate code.
  • To report course participation and results to the bodies that accredit our courses, and to improve our courses (mostly as totals, without names).
  • To send you messages about your courses, certificates, live sessions and CPD reminders. You can change these in your notification preferences.

Who we share it with

Your completed courses and certificates are sent to your record in the EPA Membership system. Accreditation and licensing bodies may receive reports of course completions. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

CPD records (completions, certificates, CEUs, transcripts) are kept for 0 years, because they are needed for licence renewal and to verify certificates. When this period ends, or when you ask us to delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights
