Trainings on Early Life Nutrition Conducted
The Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Association (EPA) in collaboration with DANONE NUTRICIA conducted seven (7) rounds of Trainings on Early Life Nutrition (the first 1000 days) to 575 Pharmacy professionals working mainly in community pharmacies and hospitals.
Two of the trainings were organized in Addis Ababa while the remaining five were conducted in Diredawa, Jimma, Bahrdar, Gondar, and Dessie. Topics covered during the trainings include Overview of Early Life Nutrition and Nutraceuticals, Role of early life Nutrition for immune development, the Gut health in early life and finally a discussion on practical ethical practices vs. Code of Ethics. A total of 575 pharmacy professionals were trained in the seven pieces of training.
